Choosing a data point

You can create a scorecard from any cell in a data table in BOATPro when you are in view and edit mode and can see the right-hand navigation bar containing fields and filters. Here's an example showing the count of delivered yachts and their average LOA grouped by builder:

As you hover over the cells in the data table, you will see a small checkbox icon appear:

If you hover over it and click then the scorecard popup will appear:

The popup will tell you which cell you are saving. You can only save a cell from the first 10 rows of a data table, but you can save it from any column.

Filtering data for scorecards

One important thing to note is that a scorecard is saving only the location of the data in the table, so if the table order changes then you may end up with a different result. For example, in the above example there are more Azimut yachts than Sunseekers, but if Sunseeker produced 31 more yachts then they would be the first result. If you wanted a scorecard showing the count of Azimut yachts then it is best to filter your data. If you haven't already read it, you can find out how to filter data here. If you add a builder filter for Azimut then this is the result:

Selecting the second cell of the first row will now guarantee that the scorecard shows the result for Azimut.

Saving scorecards

Let's give the scorecard a good descriptive name:

You will be prompted to continue working on the existing widget, or going to your Saved Widgets list:

Viewing a scorecard

A scorecard is only one cell from a data table, and you can only view it by adding to a dashboard. Follow the instructions on how to create and manage your dashboard to add your scorecards and view the results.
